Trailer

Christian (Ivan Sergei) wants to marry a Jewish girl so he doesn’t have to make any decisions about anything anymore for the rest of his life; except Chris isn’t Jewish himself, so he asks for the help of his Jewish friend Adam Lipschitz  (Joel David Moore) to learn The Ways of The Jew so he can bag himself that Jewish girl (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

There doesn’t have to be anything wrong with laughing at stereotypes per se. Unfortunately there isn’t much to laugh at in Jewtopia. The movie is a combination of shallow stereotypes and even shallower toilet humour. It is hard to believe that the movie is an adaptation of an apparently quite successful play – successful in that it has run over a 1,000 performances over 5+ years in LA, New York and Chicago. In any case, this Goy Meets Girl movie is anything but a success. It’s not really offensive (even though I am sure some people will take offense) and it certainly isn’t edgy; it’s terribly shallow in a boring way, and it’s just not funny. Neither worth your time nor any more of my words.

1/10.
