Trailer

I’ll admit I enjoy sci-fi and generally give any sci-fi movie a go. And this one comes with recommendations galore – inlcuding e.g. a score of 8.2 on IMDB and  score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, so it must be pretty good.

But it isn’t. It is terrible. The story is irrelevant, it is just a vehicle to have a bunch of characters do stuff and to to have a bunch of CGI to impress the audience. I’ll admit the SFX are good but it is not a great visual spectacle. There is no story of any interest. It is supposedly very funny, but the jokes are probably aimed at 16-year olds.

I dunno, but I don’t get it. This may be a major sci-fi box office hit, but it is a terrible movie…
