Review
Extracted is a small budget movie about a scientists who invents a way of entering people’s minds as an observer. When he is asked to use his invention to find out whether a criminal suspect is guilt or not, things get complicated. Could or should he become more than just an observer?
This movie was a pleasant surprise. It has no fancy cinematography, no special effects to speak of, very simple sets, and not much of a sound track… But is is well written, well acted and well edited. One of those movies that makes you wonder if it would have been any better if it had had a big studio behind it and starring a big name actor. Or whether it is just right the way it is.
This movie was a pleasant surprise.
If you liked a movie like Memento or Primer, you may well find you enjoy this movie that has a bit of a Twilight Zone feel about it.
